I rather enjoyed this novel, although I find the feminist themes to be heavy handed, Atwood created an intricate and rather compelling dystopian vision. On another note I love this illustration and is it just me or despite the barbed wire and ominous hooks do the handmaid with their peaky bonnets and hampers look quaint as hell…
